These terms apply to the use of the website pesaline.com.br and explain, in plain terms, what Pesaline equipment is for and what the responsibilities of those who buy it are. Last updated: October 11, 2026.
Summary: Equipment intended for process control and internal weighing. Not for commercial transactions or other purposes subject to legal metrology control.
1. About the website
The website presents Pesaline’s catalog and receives quote requests. There is no online sale and no customer registration, and prices are not shown: each project receives a proposal. Images, descriptions, and specifications are for information only and may change without notice; the terms of the commercial proposal prevail.
2. What Pesaline equipment is for
The equipment made by Pesaline (scales and weighing bars, weighing modules, indicators and controllers, and custom systems) is intended for process control and internal weighing: dosing, checking, counting, production control, and herd handling monitoring.
This equipment does not have a model approved by Inmetro and must not be used for the purposes listed in section 3. The intended use is stated in the operating manual, on the equipment identification, and on each product page.
3. When the regulations require an instrument with an approved model
Inmetro Ordinance No. 157 of March 31, 2022 approves the Metrological Technical Regulation for non-automatic weighing instruments. Under art. 1, § 1, it applies to instruments used to:
- determine mass in commercial transactions;
- determine mass to calculate tolls, fares, taxes, premiums, fines, remuneration, subsidies, fees, or similar payments;
- determine mass to apply legislation or regulations, or to carry out expert examinations;
- weigh patients in the practice of health professionals (monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment) and weigh people in pharmacies;
- determine mass in the manufacture of medicines and cosmetics;
- determine mass in chemical, clinical, medical, food, pharmaceutical, toxicological, environmental, and other analyses where it is necessary to ensure the reliability of results, fairness in commercial relations, environmental protection, and citizens’ health and safety;
- determine the mass of materials used in industrial and commercial activities, when the result may, directly or indirectly, influence the price of the product or service, or affect the environment or the safety of people.
For these purposes, the regulation requires that the instrument may be placed on the market or used only if it conforms to a model approved by Inmetro (item 8.1.1.1 of the annex), in addition to initial verification and periodic verifications (items 8.7 and 8.8). Breaching the regulation exposes the offender to the penalties of art. 8 of Law No. 9,933/1999 (art. 2 of the Ordinance).
If in doubt about whether your use falls under any of these purposes, talk to our team before buying. When the use requires an approved model, we point you to the right alternative.
4. How we handle each request
- The quote form asks what the weighing will be used for. We ask that the answer be truthful and complete.
- Requests for buying and selling by weight, or for any purpose in section 3, are not served with Pesaline equipment: we refer them to instruments with an approved model.
- The stated purpose is recorded with the request and may appear on the commercial proposal and the invoice.
- If the use changes after the purchase, tell Pesaline before using the equipment for the new purpose.
5. Responsibilities of those who buy and use the equipment
- use the equipment only for the intended use described in these terms and in the operating manual;
- not use the equipment, even occasionally, for the purposes in section 3;
- not remove or alter the intended-use inscriptions and notices on the equipment;
- state the intended use correctly when requesting a quote;
- be responsible for any use of the equipment outside its intended use, including before authorities and third parties.
The warranty covers use of the equipment in line with the intended use described in the operating manual and in these terms; the warranty conditions are set out in the commercial proposal.
6. Repair, maintenance, installation, and verification
Pesaline does not repair or maintain regulated measuring instruments (those subject to legal metrological control). When required, these services are carried out by workshops authorized by Inmetro or its delegated bodies (the “permissionárias”, under Inmetro Ordinance No. 457/2021), and verifications are carried out by the competent metrology body.
7. Resellers and authorized workshops (permissionárias)
Resellers and distributors must pass on to their customers the intended use described in these terms and must not advertise or offer Pesaline equipment for the purposes in section 3.
Authorized workshops are subject to their own rules: Inmetro Ordinance No. 457/2021, as amended by Inmetro Ordinance No. 548/2026, provides that an authorized workshop must not advertise, sell, or offer for sale, directly or indirectly, a measuring instrument that is irregular or that does not have a model approved by Inmetro (item 3.7). If your company is an authorized workshop, please consult Pesaline before advertising or offering our equipment.
8. Instruments with an approved model from other manufacturers
When Pesaline offers instruments from other manufacturers with a model approved by Inmetro, they will be identified as such in the catalog and will follow the manufacturer’s documentation and the regulations, including initial verification and periodic verifications. This line is still being put together: please ask our sales team.
9. Intellectual property
The Pesaline brand, logo, texts, images, drawings, and software shown on this website are protected by intellectual property law and belong to Pesaline or are used with permission. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
10. Third-party links and services
The website may contain links to third-party services, such as WhatsApp. Those services have their own terms and policies, for which Pesaline is not responsible.
11. Limitation of liability
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or that all information will always be up to date. To the extent permitted by law, Pesaline is not liable for decisions made only on the basis of the information on the website: please confirm specifications in the commercial proposal.
